I was extremely hungover and not feeling to great today so i have only had one session which went pretty well and was a little boost to the bankroll ♦

Good luck with your challenge! If you put in enough effort you can pull it through and climb the stakes. I wouldn't suggest to play poker when you are feeling too tired (i.e. hangover) as it may lead to some bad play due to lack of focus.

Yeah I believe I can beat nl5 if I focus a bit better and hopefully it won't take too long to get up the stakes.

Yeah, just NL10. Soon gonna be moving to NL25. All I can suggest is to reflect, study the game as much as you play and then you gonna receive the benefits.

Today i didn't feel like i was playing great as i had a few slip ups although the graph is still going in the right direction.

I'm just about to go through my hands to select a few to upload to the hand evaluations.

Does anyone know how to filter hands in HM2 to only show ones where i made a bet or call on the river?

I want to have a look at value betting and making light calls when i check deliberately to get the villain to bet.
There was a couple tonight where i checked with the intention of calling any bet and then talked myself out of it.

Look in the filter - Advanced filters or something, or there is one where you can filter actions street by street. Can't exactly remember how they were called. In the Filter dialog box one of the last ones in the left handed list.

So today i played well for 45 mins (800 hands) and then began to play bad. I think it was a combination of bad play and running bad. In the end nothing was working and at least i stopped with a small profit before i tilted too bad.

This hand really annoyed me. I don't like my call even in position and i don't like my jam on the turn because i'm never getting called by worse than sets or AKd/AQd. Player was a completely unknown.

Today i didn't feel in a good mood to play poker but i was making good decisions. Ran in to the nuts every time today and hit my stoploss of 3 BI's

Just weeks ago i would have kept going or jumped to NL10 to try and recoop my losses but i know thats a very bad way to play.
The whole part of this blog is to keep me disciplined whether its good or bad days.

I really don't think i'm going to reach my VPP goal by 31st Dec but $50 is so much in comparison to my bankroll i really will be trying hard to reach it. Hopefully i will have a long positive grind on Sunday.

I'm going to take tomorrow off and go to a Kickboxing class after work and get rid of some of this anger.

Post some of the hands and I might give you some advice on your plays. It's not always the bad run you know, we and our decisions somehow affect the bad run.

So i played some yesterday and today and felt like i was playing very bad. I got some hands evaluated and saw a couple of spots where i could have saved me some money.

I lost a stack on NL10 last night with my first hand AK > QQ which thankfully i had tilt breaker on and my stoploss is $10.

I shouldn't have even sat at an NL10 table anyway!

So 2 weeks after starting this blog and looking at my game in more detail i am reaping the benefits. I think im also running pretty well too haha!

Since reviewing my game and starting this blog (2 weeks) :

Ive been having a good few days which is nice, playing well and running well.
I have over 50 marked hands to go through which i will begin to do in a little while.

I applied for the "Christmas coaching thread" so fingers crossed!

My roll is looking a healthy at the end of today standing at a whopping $200.06

I am going to have a shot at NL10 when i reach $250.

I still have to clear 1500 VPPs to get that bonus but if i move to NL10 this week it will be much more achievable. Also if i do and extra 100 i will reach gold star on pokerstars which would help with collecting VPPs at the start of 2014 ♦
