I normally just bluff river in this situation unless villain looks passive and is unlikely to fire 2 without a decent made hand.

yes that was my plan but the paired board is good to bluff ? Also ye after barrel 2 streets and if u see his size is on the bigger side . I decided that i dont have much FE and he is prob x/c for bluff catch .

Theoretically we need to have some bluff range on a paired board if we are going to have a value range.

I have no problems checking back if you think he's in x/c mode. Some of the profitably in turn call comes from the fact that aggro villain may x/f river. Tight villain gives us good river implieds. So make your best estimate at whether villain is aggro or passive. Vs passive guy just check back river, vs aggro guy he has enough air in his range that we can bluff when he checks river.
