Hero (BB): t425 21.25 BBs
BTN/SB: t575 28.75 BBs

Pre Flop: (t30) Hero is BB with 4 :spade: 6 :diamond:
BTN/SB calls t10, Hero checks

Flop: (t40) 3  J :spade: 5 :club: (2 players)
Hero bets t20, BTN/SB calls t20

Turn: (t80) J :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t40, Hero calls t40

River: (t160) K :spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB bets t100, Hero raises to t345 all in, BTN/SB folds

Villain is an unknown, not much info on him.

Once he calls me on the flop, I put him on many random floats, 5x, 3x, maybe some Jx. When Turn paired, I don't think I have much FE on a second barrel. My intention was to c/f tbh, but I was tempted by the small bet as I have an open-ender and 1 over to 5x, maybe even 4x is an out.

What do you think about the river? I discount many of the Jx now that it paired, plus he could be betting less with trips, maybe he picked up some random Kx, but he also checks back turn with some of them imo.

For sure he doesn't have 5x and 3x and I think he has good amount of random floats he turns into a bluff like T9, Qx, 67, but they all got me beat... Pl

if you think he floats a lot on the flop then you have an easy second barrel with a lot of equity against a weak range

also river if you´re check raising just to get floats that are bluffing out you shouldnt shove but just min raise. since that sizing acomplishes the same

but honestly just fancy play sindrome here you have to many assumptions that may or may not be right . in the end he could easily be value betting here with a lot of hands. and may or may not have floats that then bluff turn and river.

just no need just bet twice or bet flop and c/f turn depending of what you think his range is after calling flop

Hi all,

I don't think kurrkabin's flop/turn line was a mistake. OP bet flop with the intention of following through on a lot of turn cards, got a really bad turn card to barrel, and decided to c/f (which is reasonable). Then villain bet really small, forcing us to call (reasonable). OTR though I think this is definitely FPS, I just give this one to him.

So you happy with turn/river line then :) ?

Basically, when I put villain on a bluff, a decent amount of the time, I rather re-bluff him given we have no SD value here.

i agree its not a card that growes our fold equity but a half pot bet needs to work 33% of the time and we have a lot of equity so it need to work a very small amount with 8 outs+ just betting to collect against floats and gut shots is fine against those hands you fold him out no matter the card.

its better then c/f for sure

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate a second barrel (though specifically I need this hand to second barrel bluff here). However, with the stacksize behind we can't be certain villain just calls his value anyway, and we certainly can't b/c it.

That said, I think I agree. I only like c/eval (call in this case) better when villain makes silly sizings like this, but that's quite results oriented

if he have a lot of floats on his range, why dont we bet flop, c/r turn?

even if we dont represent a good line for value, he cant call us with his random floats, and we take it out of his many junk hands. maybe he folds even a 5X, but not sure. if he shoves, we can fold, if he calls and we hit, we get a stack, if he calls and we dont hit, just give up.

think its a line that can acompplish the same as hero does, but cheaper.

This line seems best.
