Villian 19/16 but this was the first time he had called my SB vs BB raise
After he called my flop bet I put him on a mid pair or a flush draw so does my turn bet make sense? I didnt want to bet 1/2 pot on turn as it would make the river tricky

Hero (SB): 7,208 (24 bb)
BB: 4,349 (14.5 bb)
BTN: 1,943 (6.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K J
BTN folds, Hero raises to 730, BB calls 430

Flop: (1,535) 5 6 5 (2 players)
Hero bets 767, BB calls 767

Turn: (3,069) K (2 players)
Hero bets 3,069, BB calls 2,827 and is all-in

River: (8,723) 9 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

8,723 pot
Final Board: 5 6 5 K 9
Hero showed K J and lost (-4,349 net)
BB showed 6 6 and won 8,723 (4,374 net)

Hello slippyjim,

Preflop:

OK. Shove is also fine because of the shortie.

Flop:

Good c-bet. We can make it a bit smaller to ~650 chips.

Turn:

Easy shove for value. No need to be tricky and play it other way. Wp.
