BTN: $11.57 (VPIP: 23.48, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 2.94, Hands: 117)

MP: $8.11 (VPIP: 11.58, PFR: 10.53, 3Bet Preflop: 6.25, Hands: 95)

SB posts SB $0.02, Hero posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has A♥ A♦

fold, fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.12, fold, Hero raises to $0.40, BTN calls $0.28

Flop: ($0.82, 2 players) 9♣ 4♦ T♥
Hero bets $0.40, BTN calls $0.40

Turn: ($1.62, 2 players) 8♥
Hero bets $1.05, BTN calls $1.05

River: ($3.72, 2 players) Q♠
Hero checks, BTN checks

I bet the flop small because it is a 3bet pot and also because he may call 1/2 pot with overcards. On the turn I am getting value from Tx, 9x and he picks up many draws. The river is a bit scary, I don't think I get further value from Tx/9x but he may bluff a busted draw so I play x/call.

Hi Zukes

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: why do you think you can't get value from JJ as well on the turn? Along with some Tx hands?

Which busted draws can he really bluff on that river that you beat? I think that if he bets you are in trouble.

Hey. I think I just forgot to put JJ in his range. I do think I get value from Tx on the turn but probably not on the river when the Q comes.

He can call turn with FD he picked up after floating flop and lower end OESD like 87 97 maybe A7 or even gutshot Qx (I would assume villain is bad enough to do this) that bust on the river?

Villain appears to be a regular and I can't see how we can expect him to call flop and turn with A7, 87 or 97. And most of all he probably doesn't call preflop with most of those hands anyway.

On top of that you block the A of hearts which is your flush redraw on the turn. thus he has almost nothing to blfuf with and even Qx checks back.

Ok. Would you assume villain is a regular (or at least could be without further info) from these preflop stats? I can't say I have any reads on him from before this hand but most of the regulars I see at NL5 have tighter stats than this. I suppose most recreational players don't raise 20% preflop though.

VPIP: 23.48, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 2.94, Hands: 117 looks to me a regular for these limits.

Small 3-bet % but the sample is still very small.

VPIP is close to PFR (pretty close actually) and not too low or too high.

Rec players limp and have a higher gap between VPIP and PFR, something like 30/12 or 40/5, etc.
