Hey guys,

villain was unknown midstacker (30 hands). 4tabling so probably kinda knows what he's doing.

I would like your advice on all 3 streets. I just talked this hand over with a friend and he would have checked flop. My plan was to barrel good turns, but what would you do on say 2c turn? I didn't reaaly think that through.

Hey DeLau,

Preflop is fine.

I think checking is fine. Actually, cbetting 3rd pair and using it as a 5 out draw is usually best in 3bet pots since it's too weak to use as a bluff catcher. However we'd prefer it if 3 of our outs didn't tangle with opponents flop floating range. I.e, we hit a J and our opponent improves to stuff like QJ, AJ a lot etc.

As played would fire turn when we hit, and x/f river.

If it wasn't for J connecting with opponents range somewhat we may have 3 streets when we turn our 2 pair generally.

Btw, on any turn that's not our 5 outs we usually x/f. Sounds exploitable but if we construct our range well there should be enough other hands that are 2barreling.

Okay thanks.

Would you x/f or x/c flop?

We basically would bet the flop partly because our hand is too weak to x/c.

So if we don't bet because we don't like our outs we should just x/f.
