Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♦ A♥

fold, Hero raises to 2.4 BB, fold, BTN calls 2.4 BB, fold, BB calls 1.4 BB

Flop: (7.6 BB, 3 players) 3♣ A♣ 9♠
BB checks, Hero bets 5.2 BB, fold, BB calls 5.2 BB

Turn: (18 BB, 2 players) Q♦
BB checks, Hero bets 12.8 BB, BB calls 12.8 BB

River: (43.6 BB, 2 players) 4♥
BB bets 57.4 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 57.4 BB
Preflop, i open a bit smaller because there are a few shorter stacked unknowns left over. Probably fish though.... I don't know if this is good?

I flop top pair and try to protect against flushdraws on flop and turn. Betting sizing okay?

On river i don't know, i called him down because there is no flush nor street on the board, 52 is there but dont expect that in his range..... I think he might be polarized here, so i am up to slowplayed sets/two pairs or missed draws.... How is my river thoughts?

Hey AdvancedTN1984,

Preflop/flop/turn are all fine here.

Villain is pretty polarized with river shove as you say. However generally at nl5 it's safer to assume opponents are heavily weighted towards value rather than shoving a balanced range.

So although villain may be bluffing from time to time, river fold is generally best.
