Was trying to balance my check/call range( i believe my range is alittle too weak) and this fellow is relatively aggressive vs me.

Which comes to this question, If i ever check/call with TPTK I should always call down 3 streets incase our opponent decide to put us on a weak holdings?

Hey Evante,

Preflop is fine.

Multiway it likely makes more sense to bet here with this holding. It'd likely be ok to check heads up sometimes though, but we don't want two guys freerolling a turn. In this spot it probably makes more sense to check the weaker aces and Qx stuff. If we are concerned about defending our checking range we can mix in some x/r for value and as a bluff. Capped x/c range generally not an issue vs the vast majority of opponents, but if we were concerned we can occasionally x/c stuff like AA - it's the least vulnerable and has the largest card removal effect.

Sir,

I actually dont have plans for c/r as PFR.

So I guess the best way to start having a c/r range is have it polarised?

Yeah, generally polarized. The main reason we might need a x/r range is to help defend our checking range. We can defend sufficiently by check/calling but it can be advantageous on drawy textures to have a x/r range as PFR since it's more harmful to allow our opponents to freeroll equity on a drawy texture.

On dry textures it's not necessary to even have a x/r range as PFR.
