Preffered Seat Option isn't working

In the latest release HM2 reads your Stars seating configuration from the user.ini file. It looks like it reads the wrong file (may be you have 2 Stars Clients installed? or something like that?) or it can't find the file.
It should be under c:\users\yourname\appdata\local\pokerstars...

For further infos you can open the log file c:\users\yourname\appdata\roaming\holdemmanager\log.txt with a text editor like notepad and look for lines about stars seating.

The latest update made a complete mess. My hud moves around. Perticularily irritating when playing Zoom when I have to reposition the HUD every hand I need the HUD.

Thats propably good advices from "netsrak" but I don´t have the time to mess with such stuff right now.

You just need to reconfigure your Stars preferred seating like this:

My HUD moves every hand, even tho I try and set it to my preferred seat in HEM2 every hand. I've configured my PokerStars settings as described by you.

My user.ini file is there. It seems to correctly describe my preferred seating settings.

Help?

I found this in my log file:

I like seat 4 in 9-max PokerStars if that's useful information.

This at least stopped the HUD from running around the table. Now it´s just stuck four positions away. And it is impossible to change in the site setup. Or its possible to change but the change don´t take effect and when I go in to site setup again it has returned to 4 places away.

Yeah, this is very annoying, hopefully get fixed asap. Otherwise I will just follow the advice from other forum, install older version of HEM that actually works.

Also this problem the hud is at the wrong place tried the stuff from hm2 forums also.
Another info part the place where the user.ini should be, doesnt excist on my desktop and i am running windows 7.

Edit: Found the folder this time
It was hidden and wasnt showing up because of it.
ill try deleting user.ini now and see if that fixes it.
Since i dont see multiple pokerstars folders there.

I have the same problem.. Any solution yet??

When I use the site setup in HM2 to change may preferred seat it doesnt seem to take any effect at all. Shouldnt there be some sort of apply-button or something?

Deleted the user.ini from the site I play on, +configurated those seating preferences, rebooted HEM and it worked! Little break, and its all messed up again. Just going back to older HEM-version, if I can find it somewhere.

Another way. That's the problem remains the updates, numbers 7991 and 7995. I downloaded the 7990 version of the HUD and on the table at the right place. This may be done just googled the HM2 and the numbers after, it should be directed to the HM2 website where you can then download the old version of the update.

@Svinhugg: please configure the preferred seating in the Stars client first. HM2 should read it from there.

I've followed all the instructions in the threads and it's still not solved.

Any idea when this will be fixed?

It is not a bug we can fix although we are working on some improvements.

Check your program folders for different pokerstars installations and user.ini files and check your ..\appdata\local folders for different pokerstars configurations and user.ini files.
If you are using only one stars client only one of the user.ini files should be valid (the one with the latest date/time), delete all others.
And please switch off auto-center in the Stars client and use preferred seating instead.

What exactly is your problem?
Which gametype are you playing on which Stars site?
