Hello everyone! :f_biggrin:

NL10 Zoom SH

BTN: $8.24 (82.4 bb)
SB: $12.22 (122.2 bb)
BB: $10.72 (107.2 bb)
UTG: $10 (100 bb)
MP: $13.60 (136 bb)
Hero (CO): $10.10 (101 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A J
UTG raises to $0.25, MP folds, Hero raises to $0.80, 3 folds, UTG calls $0.55

Flop: ($1.75) 4 9 3 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.20, UTG calls $1.20

Turn: ($4.15) 7 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks

River: ($4.15) 6 (2 players)
UTG bets $2.10, Hero folds

PRE-FLOP:
I think it's ok to 3bet. I don't have stats of BU but we might get squeezed so that's why I think it would be better to 3bet ourselves.

FLOP:
On the flop I decided to cbet as a bluff, to get him fold low pairs and broadways.

TURN:
Gave up.

RIVER:
Gave up.

1) Is it alright to 3bet EP open, or it would be better to call and keep his range wider?

2) When they check to us and we are IP, do we cbet on such a dry boards as this?

IMO:
I think we should since Broadways missed and he might have low PP which he didn't hit and might fold .

Thank you for your great job doing evaluation! :f_p:

Hey Moneymakerzzz,

Preflop 3bet as a bluff is fine here.

Not really a great texture to cbet bluff. We don't fold out better hands generally, we simply protect our equity which is not so valuable when we are playing against a strong range to begin with.

Turn is fine.

River is fine.
