UTG+2: $0.43 (21.5 bb)
Hero (MP3): $2.30 (115 bb)
BB: $2.01 (100.5 bb)
MP1: $2.70 (135 bb)
SB: $0.55 (27.5 bb)
CO: $3.45 (172.5 bb)
BTN: $1.74 (87 bb)
MP2: $2 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J:s K:d
UTG+2 folds, MP1 calls $0.02, MP2 folds, Hero calls $0.02, CO calls $0.02, BTN folds, SB completes, BB checks

Flop: ($0.10) 2:c 3:h T:s (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($0.10) K:s (5 players)
SB checks, BB bets $0.10, MP1 calls $0.10, Hero?

Should Hero raise here profitably with rather weak top pair in a 5 player pot? Since we are still playing a small pot. Other option is to fold.

Hey TortoiseAndHare

Preflop: I would just isolate with this hand. In my opinion it is to strong to over limp.

As played flop is good. I don't see any good reason to raise to flop 5 way. You would be turning your hand into a bluff. Maybe if they are REALLY bad they call you with Tx. But then again Tx would bet the flop. Also I don't like the size here, he's potting it. MAYBE you can call turn but I'm never calling river if he pots it again.

Hi,

Definitely the biggest mistake here is to limp pre-flop. You will often hit weaker top-pairs and end up paying with your tp versus some set or flush that slowplayed or so. With initiative it's easier to bet for value and you can even bluff. In addition, you gain some more info about their hands by betting.

As played, F is good. On turn I'd definitely (just) call. There is no value in a raise (weak TP and limper bets pot), and folding is weak (we limped to hit top-pair, right?), thus calling is the option.

If we face pot-size bet on river we should most likely give up unless we have some reads that he spazzes outs against checks.
