Can I fold river to such a small bet?

Should i play check call flop and check call turn instead?

Hi,

I generally prefer c-betting that low board, since you protect against overcards and draws+ he can always try to make some moves with air.
Since 8 is not the best card your range I would prefer c/c turn instead of b/f or b/c. If you bet then it is very hard worse hands to call and you don´t fold out any better hands. If you take c/c line then worse hands can often bluff.
River c/c that small bet is standard. Pot is just too big to fold and sometimes he may valuebet JJ/TT

best regards,
