Hi,

Boss, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 4 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $12.82 (128.2 bb)
BB: $4.84 (48.4 bb)
Hero (CO): $11.03 (110.3 bb)
BTN: $24.52 (245.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A 5
Hero raises to $0.28, BTN calls $0.28, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.71) 5 J Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.35, Hero folds

Results:

Spoiler

$0.71 pot ($0.03 rake)
Final Board: 5 J Q
Hero mucked A 5 and lost (-$0.28 net)
BTN mucked and won $0.68 ($0.40 net)

the opponent is a semifish, he overprotects in every spot (stabs a lot w 4th pairs, donking anything that connects etc.)

I just feel like x/f is the worst option here but not sure. Is it a standard cbet? if so, then I should cbet all pps on these textures?

Thanks a lot

Hello,

I wouldn't say that check/fold is bad here.
Board is pretty ugly as it connects with his calling range well, we are OOP and holding bottom pair, and as he is not likely to fold vs a bet, and we are probably going to face a second or a third bet if we check/call, I think check/fold in this spot is not bad.

Best,
Plamen
