I lost half of my money by playing to such donks!
Everytime a different donk gets lucky..
I am really pissed of at this.
I loose every single of my AK, AQ, AA, KK like this.
Wenever I get these cards I am more afraid now!
Help me

If this is the right play how could I have gone from 38 $ to 15 $ on .05/.1 FL holdem?
I am seeing that loose and good players who r calling upto the rivee make money lot of time.
So is it the right play?
I play tight to see my AA KK loose 90% of the time.
Can I post another such hand here or a seperate thread?

FL can be quite frustrating but thats poker. we can and will always see our AA and KK and QQ lose to a lot of K7 , A2 etc etc you've seen the horrors :) But as long as you play correctly then its value and money for you in the end. and going from $38 to $15 is only a little downswing.

at 10/20c Ive had a -$100 downswing so be happy but you just should study and get better and you will win in the end :)

Also 1 hand per thread please. rules :(

A couple of things. The hand history is broken, but I get the impression that you were on tilt when you played the hand and posted it just to illustrate your frustration (why else would you want to cap with nothing?). Just to make sure, you didn't play it well, you donated money.

What counts in FL Hold'em is who has the best hand at showdown, not preflop. You need to put the breaks on when you miss because the eight other donks in the hand playing sooooted cards may have hit with a little something that beats your nothing. That said, you shouldn't play trash yourself because of the obvious fact that the chances of Q3 beating, say, AQ are slim. These players don't win, so do not worry (but play better).

Okay preflop is cool. you can also choose to cap here either is okay i prefer calling the 3bet though.

flop is standard.

now here is what it kinda goes wrong for you. First of all you just check called flop so as you know check to the raiser is a thing. In this case I think the turn Ace is a PERFECT card to check raise , what you did here is donk bet and as you probably can hear from its name , its something donkeys do. If i were your opponent I would know you had the Ace. A lot of bad players donk out their turned or rivered Top Pairs.

first of all check raise turn here.
second as played capping it seems a bit over the top. sure you got a good TP but the guy 3bet indicating he has a strong hand, he bet out on the flop as standard so hes still aggressive. now on the turn he raises your donk, meaning he is still very aggressive doing this when you donk bet on a turned Ace. So this to me indicates he won't lay down his hand and at best you can really all hope for 7x or a worse Ax to get value from. rest of his value range beats you.

I would just call his raise on the turn as played (even though i wouldn't ever donk turn)

again on the river your 3bet is way way too much.

simply put you overplayed your hand and you got punished for it. Yes Q3s does not beat AQo all that often. But the results really doesn't matter as you obviously know we don't know his cards while playing.

Yes, probably.

As played, check-call on the river. Consider also to check-raise on the turn, but donking is acceptable since there is a fair chance your opponent will check behind. The turn 3-bet is questionable.

Given the cards, you were obviously up against a maniac. You'll have to live with the fact that you'll sometimes lose big ones versus them. On the turn had 5 outs to beat you, got lucky and hit one of them. It is supposed to happen sometimes - else it would be rigged.

If you knew he was a maniac, then I like your river play a little better. I wouldn't 3-bet the river though. Had it been versus a "normal" opponent, you could have gotten away 3BB cheaper.

The hand history is still messed up.

Ya he was a total maniac! Thats y I was value betting!
Is this called donking?
And wenever I notice a fish or maniac during my downswing I loose almost all the pots with them as the get lucky.

I checjed the flop because as the opponent was a maniac I xpected him to have a pair and wait for my card.
He was raising with anything hit on the flop.
I didnt check/raise on turn because he wud raise anything!
I accept that I overplayed the river as there was a 3 again!

you did exactly as I said overplayed turn and river. It doesn't really matter if hes a maniac or not. You have to think rational and straight. even maniacs can have good hands at times where they give action.

some of the smart "maniacs" do these kind of sick plays so they know you will go with their action whether or not they have the nuts or not. Its basically like balancing their game. They do this with most of their hands and you can't know if they really got it or are bluffing.

similar to a loose passive guy who calls calls calls all the freaking time. When he suddenly raises and caps you. You should realize he has a good hand.

You simply gave your opponent too much action based on his actions and how "fragile" your lone Top pair is in reality. Yes TP is a good hand but its not immortal you know.

and what is with not check raising turn when hes raising anything. That is exactly what you should do then if he is raising with anything. your Top pair is very good on the turn. you played well up until the turn in this hand. from the turn it went kinda downwards for you.. What I would do is check raise turn and then call his 3bet ( since you say hes raising anything) and then check call river.

vs a maniac however this can change. you can cap turn but when / if he donks river you ONLY call. if he raises your river bet you still call.

ps: ofcourse you should check flop since he was the 3better , if you had bet on the flop it would be called a donk bet which I and many others do not condone/like/advice you to do EVER .. my donk bet percentage over 155k hands is about 7% .. donk betting can be used as a play and it can work just in rare situations.

You should try to play objectively and try to not let you influence that much by your emotions although i can understand you and no one is free of tilt and gets frustrated when there is a series of losses with hands you have a high expectation about. If he is a maniac you played it really well.

If he was unknown or a reg, i don't mind 3betting the Turn with toppair and second best Kicker but after he capped the Turn, you should just c/c the River or even fold to another Riverbet as normally a reasonable guy doesn't cap the TUrn with just 1pair but that juts applies to higher limits but rather not to low limits where people get crazy regularly.

Also against unknown you should not donk out the River again but c/c the River as he's too likely to show up a set on the showdown.

I hope i could help you and i'm looking forward seing you posting some more hands!
