Hi All
My names Mark I'm 24 and play NLHE 6max in the micros.
I love the game and want to get better so I have started to do some studying.
I have played some live at the local casino and done surprisingly well :)
I cannot say the same for online, I think i have had my first proper taste of "tilt"
or should I say stupidity on a new level.... it was a couple of bad beats followed by lots of irrational plays that were out of my bankroll and I'm back at 1c/2c.

I started to play last night but didn't feel my heart was in it so I logged off,
I have read that posting in forums is good social and good for your game....so here I am.

Just wanted to say hi and I appreciate any wise words words from people
who have experienced my situation before.

Hey Mark,

Welcome to the forums, finally :tongue: . Only joking. I myself was a lurker for the 1st 12 months I was here. I day I posted something and nobody jumped down my throat, so I posted again and the upshot of that now is that I can't stop. ♦

I used to be very tilty. In fact, I have spent more time trying to overcome tilt issues than I have learning strategy or watching videos. Eventually I discovered Jared Tendlers' "The Mental Game of Poker". Reading this has improved my mindset no end. Not only that, I am also less tilty in real life. :)

Hoping to see you being more active around the forums.

@Lazza61 Thanks for the advice on good poker reads, I think one for the mental game is very important for my game at the moment.

I will have a wonder round the forum and try get stuck into some posts.
