Given villains passive play and short stack I think I'd play this exactly the same way again - what do you think ? A retrospective check on equilab shows me having 93% equity on the turn.

Should I have gone into WA/WB mode on turn and called down ? I'd never fold on this board of course, but was capping turn & river too much ?

Hi!

If you 3bet hands out of BB(like AA,...) then this hands is perfect one to do also.If you dont 3bet out of BB then its fine.

Flop 3bet is the way to go and since they just call I like your turn raise as well since he can have worse Qx,8x,maybe spew but his 3bet looks scary.Unless he is irrational he should realise you show all the signs of having Qx. With AQ,KQ I wouldnt mind going for a cap here but with relatively medicre Qx I preffer to just calldown. QJ,KQ,Q8,55,88 they all have you beat when low Qx are not rly hands that 42%VPIP guys limp.

River raise seems pointless to me(otherwise why not just cap turn) especially when river card is pretty bad since now even Q7 has you beat.I dont see any other option but to call despite him being almost AI.

I would disagree, if a villain is almost out of money go ahead and put them all in with a monster. Villains will stack off, with out the nuts. I agree with River raise is a bit out of step with you not capping turn. I would not cap the turn, villain may have a set here and with a passive read I would slow down at this point.

However, since he is almost out, go ahead and get the rest in the middle. If villain had normal stack just call river, villain may have you beat.

I agree to Dawnfall. Against some aggressive guy, i wouldt mind going for a cap on the Turn but if you say he is passive, your kicker is just not strong enough and a passive guy might also just call AQ KQ Preflop and 55 88 as well so you dont beat enough Queens with your mediocre Kicker. With KQ still winning against QT QJ ok but QT is too weak. After his 3bet on the Turn, i would also just call it down.

It is a myth that short stacks are desperate too lose all of their money. It is a little fishy to play with <10BB, but that is all there is to read into it.
