Lately I have been playing a fair amount of live poker and had some reasonable good results, but saturday I really messed it up by going to the casino after two bottles of Möet and ended up blowing 600€ which I really worked hard on winning in the first place.
Why do a start this challenge then, motivation? No, everybody say that they start blogs/challenges for motivation, but the truth is I just like to post my silly thought somewhere while I track my progress moving forward on my goal on becoming a professional poker player, traveling the world, getting experiences for a lifetime and being able to do what I really want to do. Hopefully this will also help me be more disciplined about not tilting, playing drunk, etc.
I thought the funniest concept to this challenge/blog would to start a bit under rolled (I already mentioned that I'm a degen) I therefore want to start with a 646€ BR (the amount I'm up since I started tracking my results) and play 1/2€ cash game as well as 50€ MTT's, which usually is very small and soft fields at the casino.
I will go into stuff about buy-in amount, stop loss and what I might have to do to keep my stop loss in future posts when it become relevant.
The reason why I have decided to make this a challenge and not a blog is that I have a goal about making €7,500 by September 9. which is the day my contract as a Xerox service agent ends and the day I hopefully will be able to start playing poker for a living.
What to expect from this thread then? I'm 21 years old so although I will spend the majority of my time in the weekends at the casino I will also go out a fair bit and pop bottle, so beside poker results I might post some pics which I something I personally like to read about so hopefully people will follow.
