Spoiler

is it ok to raise flop this size to fold his bluffs, and turn to overbet and river shove? I would do that with my nutfd and sets.

Hi,

I'm going to take a shot at this, as we get deeper the nut combinations increase in value and so does position. So the nuts here is sets straights and nut flush draw.

Hands like overpair and straight draw drops in value so they should go into the calling range. Maybe even the made straights?

Ranges are generally tighter deep so I'm not sure how many bluffs we need to throw into our range so I'm thinking this hand is great because half the time on the river we do not complete which makes this hand serve as a bluff. And the other half we make the nuts which gets value.

Thanks

I raise flop:

value: 66, 86s, 57s (9 combos)
bluff: AhTh, Ah7h, Ah5h, AhTo, AhJo, 9Ts, A7s, A5s (23 combos)

This should be balanced if I would bet turn and river 3/4 pot, and I have a little bit of everything.

Turn I raise:

44, 88 (6 combos)
AhKo, AhQo (8 combos)

This assumes blank on turn, I raise AhKo, AhQo to be able to repp flush on river,
and also I block QQ+ with those hands which increases my FE.
If flush would come, I would still raise AhKo, AhQo, and flushes, and call sets.

Do you think it is ok? some advice for improvement?

If I would overbet turn, and shove river then I can add around 10 more bluff combos on flop.

Hi,

When you say you raise turn 44 88 does it mean you are calling them on flop? To be honest this is the first time I'm hearing this.

What I learnt was a step by step process starting from the entire range on flop and then going to the turn. Meaning on flop we raise value combinations like

44 66 88 68 57 (not sure whether top 2 and bottom set would be a value raise since we are 350bb deep, could be calls since they are weaker and when re raised we are in a tough spot since we seldom see worse when we get it in for 350bb)

For bluffs it will be
AXs flush draws AhKo maybe a few more Ah Broadway combinations.

In a normal 100bb game we use a 3 bluff to 2 value combination like you suggested. I'm guessing 350bb we should go lower like 1 to 1 or maybe even lower like 2 bluffs to 3 value? And the hands we use for bluffing has more nut potential meaning we take out straight draws 9T since they don't draw to the nuts, heart giving a straight gives a straight with flush on board. And maybe we take out AhTo from raising range to place in the calling range.

And then we call overpairs flush draws, pair +draw and reach the turn.

And then when we reach the turn we either raised or we called. And then we continue betting or checking from there.

In the case of bluff raises we should control our frequencies, and it's going to be even lower in a 350bb pot, though I'm not sure exactly how much lower I'm guessing it's probably 2-3x lower than a normal bluff raise.

And if we are going to go for a raise flop over bet turn and bluff river (which I don't exactly agree) we should use very few combinations, maybe just one A5s fd. To go further than that with Ah Broadway could be way too wide even in a 100bb game.

I meant I call flop with 44, 88 and raise turn vs another cbet. So basically raising some of the strong hands on flop and some on turn. I am trying to make balanced range from gto perspective, then I can deviate from this during play.
Why is this so surprising for you? Also on flop I cannot find more meanningfull bluffs that I can add, so I rather put also pressure on him on turn with another combos of strong hands and bluffs, because some of my floats will often become draws on turn which I can bluff +EV.

44 66 88 68 57 (not sure whether top 2 and bottom set would be a value raise since we are 350bb deep, could be calls since they are weaker and when re raised we are in a tough spot since we seldom see worse when we get it in for 350bb)

When you raise buttom set or 2 pairs, realisticly better hands in his range than that are so small % of his range, so you will anyway see 3bet so rare. More often will happen that overpairs bluffcatch or draws which is mayority of his range. So I think, the reason for calling flop with 2 pairs, buttom set shouldnt be that we are afraid what if he has better nuts.
If you think he plays only better hands than buttom set or 2 pairs for 350bb then I am going to exploit him so much with my bluffs, that it doesnt matter much if I lose 350bb in a situation nuts over nuts, so the total Ev is going to be much higher if I can include more bluffs in my range and especially if he is going to play weak as you assume.

In a normal 100bb game we use a 3 bluff to 2 value combination like you suggested. I'm guessing 350bb we should go lower like 1 to 1 or maybe even lower like 2 bluffs to 3 value?

It is 2:1 bluff:value ratio for 100bb, assuming he has 0.25 pot odds flop, turn 0.3 and river 0.3
If you give him worse pot odds, you can add more bluffs to that, if you give worse you remove bluffs. So playing so deep, where you give him so bad pot odds, you can increase a lot bluffs, around 3:1 bluff:value on flop.

And the hands we use for bluffing has more nut potential meaning we take out straight draws 9T since they don't draw to the nuts, heart giving a straight gives a straight with flush on board. And maybe we take out AhTo from raising range to place in the calling range.

I think it is good to have a little bit of everything in raise range. If you hit nut flush, do you expect people to pay you off 350bb? So you have to bluff also, and thats why I think it is good to raise also gutshots, and oesd so that we can repp more boards on turn and river, and when flush comes we can continue bluffing with our bdfd, gutshots, oesd depending how many value we bet. So if they fold too much, we benefit from our bluffs, if they call down too much, we are balanced so we also benefit.
