Hi

This is in the early mis stages on the tournament. The villian is a TAG, don't have stats on him as was not using a HUD. But he likes to 3 bet when entering a raised pot. He always min 3 bets.

What should be my play on the flop? The bet size looks like overpair and the villian likes to get value from draws on the wet board. And I am not getting the right odds to make the straight.

Should I fold or call given my stack size?

Poker Stars $10+$1 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t125/t250 Blinds + t25 - 9 players -

BTN: t3335 M = 5.56
SB: t2776 M = 4.63
BB: t554 M = 0.92
UTG: t7902 M = 13.17
UTG+1: t4975 M = 8.29
UTG+2: t12051 M = 20.09
Hero (MP1): t9115 M = 15.19
MP2: t7592 M = 12.65
CO: t9217 M = 15.36

Pre Flop: (t600) Hero is MP1 with J :club: J :spade:
3 folds, Hero raises to t500, MP2 raises to t1000, 3 folds, BB calls t279 all in, Hero calls t500

Flop: (t2879) 9  T :club: Q :spade: (3 players - 1 is all in)
Hero checks, MP2 bets t2879, Hero raises to t8090 all in, MP2 calls t3688 all in

Turn: (t16013) 4  (3 players - 3 are all in)

River: (t16013) 2  (3 players - 3 are all in)

In my opinion you should just shove it in preflop, you are about 13 bigblinds effective so there is no need to peel the small 3bet and let him see a flop that cheap. Especially if he is a aggro 3better, then it becomes even easier to just 4bet shove.

I think that makes sense. Now I think 4 bet pre should have been my play with his 3 betting every hand.

But My question is the decision to make the call on the flop or not, with that bet size and the effective stack and my own stack size.

Thank you!
