62o in BB getting 7 to 1

Its ok to call this for 1:7, closing the action. Your hand is weak of course but your Odds preflop are great. Past times i would have folded this but then a "friend" of mine who's been playing highstakes for a long time, he sat down and chased me at the tables to bother me a bit and there was the same situation and i folded and then he wrote me in skype: Whatever you did fold there, it was a mistake so from then on i never did such a fold again. Given just 1:5 it's a fold but with this additional caller and 4handed action => Call is fine!

Postflop should be quite standard. Donking the Flop is fine since MP will be cautious and probably not betting all his ui Ax and QJ type of hands but check those so you gotta take the initiative instead. So if it were just 5 to 1, e.g. one raiser, SB calls and myself in the BB what hole cards would be good to call with ?

So 5 to 1 works out as ~ 17%, so is a valid approach to look at http://wizardofodds.com/games/texas-hold-em/3-player-game/ and see which hole cards win more than 17% ? Because if so that's the lot, which seems a little too wide ? Would my BB defending range from an SB steal be appropriate ?

You cannot approach that scenario simply by the Equity you require, according to the preflop odds been given but you need to take into account that you won't be realizing your equity quite often. Just from your Equity, you can call any2 but you have to fold the Flop quite often. The simulation assumes that you're in an all-in Situation and all the cards will be dealt out.

I don't have a mathematical profe for my Standards but even for 1:5 , closing the action, you should be calling with a wide range and before i list up all the hand you can call with, i'd better exclude the hands you'd be still folding with. And 62 would be such a hand i'd be folding preflop for 1:5 and hands like 72 and the total bottom of all hands. If BU openraises and SB coldcallst, you can also call 84o for 1:5 but you'd rather fold if the initial Raise came from utg. 74 75 and all low hands with even 2 gaps i would defend and go from there.

I forgot to mention that you also should folds (even against wide ranges) like Q2o J3 J4 T4 etc but call any suited and hands with slight straightpotential.

You can adjust and move the scale up and down a bit by the conditions of how tight the initial openraiser opens etc and whether the raise cam from UTG/MP or CO/BU and how wide SB is coldcalling and how poor or well he plays postflop.
