Gary, 29 from Rep of Ireland. Gold member of almost 4 years and former Head moderator of the English Community. Playing poker for 7 years and since March I have been concentrating heavily on MTTs. Since then I have won $10k with net winnings of $8.2k

:spade: Why I need this stake :spade:

As much as I'd love to play all these on my own I simply cannot afford to do so. Also, MTTs are very high variance and I like to include Hyper Turbo MTTs for volume. I like to make my ABI between $10-$11

Our first tournament of the night was going good. We had chipped up in three hands in the early stages giving us an extra 800 chips before the key hand of the tourney decimated us.

JJ vs AK pre

18.30 Sunday Storm

We had a very good table draw but any decent hands in the beginning were negated. Lost a few chips with AKo multiway when the board bricked and it continued on in that fashion for the first 30 mins.

We then got outkicked BvB with K4 < KT on a AA7K3 which set us back even further.

After an hour and 20 minutes, we shoved JJ after a limp from EP and got called by AK. The rest is history.

18:43 - $8.25 satellite to the Hotter $75

We got off to a great start and chipped up to 2.3k when we opened AKo from EP and got a call from the BB. We flopped TPTK and he spazzed with K8 on the flop and we sent him to the rail.

After that though we were pretty card dead. We open shoved JTo with 10BB from UTG and got called by AQo. The board bricked us both but he won with his Ace.

After that we were down to 1BB and we promptly exited when our A6s got beaten by 48o

18:53 - $16.50 satellite to the Hotter $75

In this MTT, we only lasted 17 hands. Our friend JJ lost to a shorty early on which made us short and we didn't improve when our A7o hit the rail vs KK for our last 7BB

19.29 - $5.50 satellite to the Hotter $55

The only bright light in an otherwise frustrating evening. We managed to collect one of the 27 places available to gain entry into the Hotter $55.

We were a little lucky here at times but once we got near the bubble we bided our time and comfortably made it through.

19.39 - $11 satellite to the Hotter $55

After a quiet opening, we found ourselves shoving blind vs blind with QT. The BB called with AT but we managed to suck out and stay in the game.

The next critical hand though was to be our last.

This is our shoving range from the SB:

It is towards the bottom of our range but it is in there.

20.30 - $27 Turbo Knockout

We exchanged blows with a couple of regs early on and it was a small ball throughout.

Towards the end we waited patiently for a hand. We had a bounty chance which didn't materialize and our last hand we made a good call with Tens but couldn't hold up against Q8

20.39 - Late entry to the Hotter $55

We entered 9 minutes in which was pretty great for a satellite.

We lost a pot early on multiway. We had TT. Guy 1 limped, I raised and Guy 2 called, Guy 1 called.

FLOP: 423r

Guy 1 bets, Guy 2 raises and I folded.

Guy 1 had AK, Guy 2 had QQ so it was a good fold.

We kept ourselves a live with some small pots here and there before our friends returned (Jacks) and that was that.

21.15 - $25 Hyper

We doubled with Aces fairly early on and for the remainder of the MTT we were pretty card dead.

Soon it was push/fold time and we found a spot to double up. Unfortunately we couldn't win the race and we exited well outside the money.

21.30 $5.10 Hyper

We won the first pot of this tournament after shoving a few limpers with AQo.

Again, we were very card dead and we found ourselves open-shoving K6o for our tournament life. We got a call from the SB and his 44 stayed ahead all the way through.
