i don't think you played it badly. they could have plenty you beat on the river for sure, unless they are a nit.

there's not much else to say without more information about the villain.

Well I really think you should be able to get away.
1- he has checked the flop and then called the turn, This screams of a slow played monster.
2-your check-raise on the river is to big. You should make it 5K max and then when he shoves you really should be able to get away and fold as you only beat a bluff and you can't win a tournament from here. You can only lose it.

Pre-flop:

Open calling in MP even in a live game is bad. I dont mind calling the min raise in a mw pot.

Your description of the action post flop is inaccurate. It seems it is BB, You and BTN but you describe the hand as if you first to speak on each betting round.

I dont mind the flop play.

I dont mind the lead on the turn but because of the way you describe the action it is impossible to see who called you.

The river play depends very much on who called you and how he plays.
No-one here can tell you which line would be the best because we dont know villian. You have a lot of showdown value and IMHO you should never fold. I would ask myself how much am I willing to put into the pot? and then chose a line that will achieve that goal.

I rly think this hand is played bad pre and VERY bad on river...

Why would you limp sevens first in? my default is raise. (when limped i think its mandatory to call the minraise though)

check flop is fine (given that you're calling flop c-bet)

i would probably go for a bet on turn as well - but i wouldnt mind checking again since you're probably not getting action from worse - and definately not folding out anything better.

River is a huge blow up in my mind. What hands do u expect to get value from with that big C/R? and when he shoves - how can u possibly find a hand that u beat (with his line in mind)?

i think its boderline retarded (sorry for being harsh) to get it in with 10x pot on the river.

With your line up until river i would bet river aswell to get value from whatever 2 pair combos he's having in his range.

Hi AlcopopDK,
I think you are right it was a retarded call now that I think about it, but it's always easier to say that afterwards, I think I need more practice.

But I disagree that nothing worse will call on the turn some draws like 89 KQ AK XcXc, my thought was to bet turn, and turn my had into a bluff catcher to anyhing less then a 7 and none club, since most other hands like 99,88 JX would check back, and only nuts and bluffs on the river would bet,but when the 7c I guess I went back to level one and only seen my own hand, do you think that was a bluff catching spot or not, if not cam you explain please?

Thanks
Ck

As the board runs out i dont think u can bluffcatch since i dont see villian have any bluffs in his range when he raises your overbet C/R (unless he's a maniac). As stated earlier my default river play would be to bet for value and evaluate if im getting raised.

But if the river blanks you could check to bluffcatch (u cant rly value bet 3rd pair, and i dont think you can fold out anything better)

Hope it makes sense ;)

For future reference i would keep the result out of OP if i were you. It makes for a better analysis if we dont know the results beforehand !
