Preflop: this call is very marginal. You definitely cannot setmine against a 40bb stack esp when he raises it up to 4bb which is huge. Which means that he has to have a really wide range here and play pretty passively postflop so that u can showdown your small pair often.

I think its probably a fold

Flop: i would just cc by default. I guess betting cant be all that bad against a fishy opponent type when he will definitely call all AX and maybe some K highs.

Turn: now it starts to get thin. I dont like betting here as i think u are just isolating yourself against stronger hands

River: u basically put yourself into this spot. I dont see how u can fold now given that he could still jabe plenty of AK AQ AJ type of hands
