Raise/folding vs folding small pocket pairs

Hmmm..Its very close...in this situation at the final table a just fold any pair to 8.but it depend also on information tht you have...if you have more loose players at the fonal table its a good oportunity to shove...otherwise just fold...calling its not an option at this level..

I think that min-raising with 55 is an okay play in that spot when it's 5-handed. I would definitely fold to a re-shove though, unless the shoving BTN has very loose aggressive stats. After all, it is 13 big blinds he is shoving, and while it is a flip most of the time vs two overcards, we are dominated by almost all pairs in his range (would he do this with 22, 33 or 44?). Even though there is overlay from blinds and antes, 55 has not enough equity imo to justify calling when considering the ICM-tax for risking chips at final tables.

We still have a comfortable chip position as middle stack if we fold. And we gotta ask ourselves: what are the ramifications if we call and lose compared to if we call and win? If we lose we have about 5BB left, which will be very hard to come back from, while winning puts us in a slight chip lead.

I personally think it is a fold, but experimenting with calling ranges in an ICM-calculator might be a good form of evaluation.
