Pre flop I reraised big to get all in with the short stack and get a fold from the small blind since were both so deep when he calls i put him on a hand like TT+ and AJs+ on the flop i try to take it down with a cbet and if he shoves im happy to call since there is a flush draw which might be his range and my might shove it with two over to add to that draw when he calls i put him on a flush draw or and over pair (or some random 8 but i really dought he could have that after my big 3bet pre flop) when the turn pairs the 8 i decide to check behind since that might be the card he had and when i river comes a jack not completing the flush draw he instantly shoves without even thinking about it and so i put him on a missed flush draw or something like AcJc or some random Jx or QQ but the problem is that we were both so deep and i dont know if i shoudve just folded and been safe with just an over pair in this spot.
I ended up making the call but I'm not sure if I shoudve called at that spot for that many big blinds. Would like to get an insight from high lever players
