I guess there is nothing you can do versus a pot size flop bet?
Aside from this being NL4, any other justifications for all-in pre-flop?
My reasoning for the call was that: 1) If it is questionable whether my hand is better than BB's range given he 3betted versus UTG raise, I can always go for the pot control and re-evaluate on flop+other streets; and 2) I can continue calling him down presuming having a better hand, depending on the flop and his betting structure.

i assume you are ahead preflop, granted it depends on your read on villain's hand.
