i am more inclined to 3bet preflop then to call because his range its preaty wide here and most of the ti mes when we hit we dont get paid + we will get ttthe pot alot pre

i agree that small pocket is raise or fold from the blinds against BU/CO. Too hard to play postflop oop, whether you hit your set or not.

I disagree when you don't know your opponent. If he calls a lot of 3bets you're just spewing if you 3bet 55, and since his opening range is pretty wide, you're better off checkraising a decent flop(as a bluff or for value depending on whether you hit or not) rather than 3betting preflop.

folding is probably best though if you don't know the opponent.

if he is a good player is better to 3bet it most of the time or fold because you will have a hard time postflop and it wont be that easy to take the pot enough oop.
if he is unknown , calling is not bad assuming he is weaker and you can take the pot from him some good % of the time + you will get payed a lot when you hit but still i like more 3beting when hu .
if another player was in the pot calling was much more fun imo

3betting 55 against an unknown is a bad idea imo, people call 3bets way too often and it's impossible to play this hand oop in a 3bet pot without hitting a set or an oesd against an unknown.

I agree to what srohack said, 3bet >coldcall. With more history hand reads I like to sometimes just call to mix it up, but here I just 3bet pre. As played nh. After 3betting it's easy. First he folds most of the times. If he calls, we play bet/fold on nearly every flop unless we hit the 5. If he 4bets we have an easy fold.
