Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I definitely think you could be getting bluffed in these spots especially given their raise sizes.

I mean you rep very few strong hands so some people will know that. yes, he can slow play some big hands but doubtful. So you have to think about the hands you can bluffcatch with. In the other hand you were towards the top of your range so you had to call. Here we aren't at the top but this could also be a bluffcatch under the right circumstances.

In order to stop us from getting bluffed would it be better to bet turn or check river?

I mean if we bet turn we look pretty strong but if we check both turn and river he can easily just check back and we lose value vs pairs. I suppose I imagine a lot of his floats to simply bet turn.

Look at that board texture.

Look at his potential range.

What pairs does he get to the river with that will pay you there aside from 99?

Do you really have that much value in a bet? And it's not even that I'm worried about being raised, it's more about what my bet can achieve (and I doubt you bet to induce a raise since we are folding anyway).

Because of the board texture the smaller pairs won't be as cautious. Say if villain had 66 and the board was like K82. On K88 I think pairs are definitely more likely. If villain is hand reading, our check on the turn may make him more likely to call river because bet/check/bet looks weird. Its fair enough to be doubtful whether this is happening or not. It is definitely thin. In his shoes I doubt whether i'm calling river but that's probably because I'm betting turn

A lot of people pot control with bet/check/bet or are looking to ck/raise and then miss (like it could be here) so I don't think you should jump the gun and think this is a bluff right away.

Also your bet sizes are a dead on tell that you are generally on value. Maybe not for everyone but those that are observant.
