so basically I set mine preflop, plan on making a midraise on river to setup a turn shove, I missclick and get all in for 200BB instead and the villain calls.
Now what's bothering me about this hand (I think stats are irrelevant since it's just 23 hands) is hand reading. When I was playing it, I looked at his raise size (he raised from 4BB to 11BB) and thought he was very strong. I remember thinking AK, AA or KK so I'll set mine and give up if I miss. When he makes a large flop bet I'm almost sure he's on an overpair and just want to get as much money in as I can without him folding.
Now when I talked the hand over with some other players they pointed out that I should be slowplaying as I probably won't get called on the turn (I wanted to raise so the pot would be around 200BB) with any worse hands.
My question is, if this is an unknown is my play correct or am I always getting called down with only 88 and KQ? How do you range the villain, and can those hands be in his preflop range?
How would you play this hand?
thanks for the help
