Hi!

I have found this hand when I was analyzing my game :

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $3,000(BB) Replayer
SB ($394,593)
BB ($53,378)
UTG ($13,577)
UTG+1 ($101,995)
UTG+2 ($53,775)
MP1 ($47,203)
Hero ($76,714)
CO ($52,847)
BTN ($156,173)

Dealt to Hero J♥ 9♥

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $6,055, fold, fold, SB raises to $14,879, fold, Hero calls $8,824

FLOP ($37,258) 8♣ 7♣ 8♥

SB bets $18,629, Hero ???

Preflop vilain is really agressive and w/ the pot-odd that gave me 24% I have found a call pre.

  • Is it way too looze ?
  • do you prefere 4b-shove or fold ?

w/ an equity calculation I have found that with 35% equity, I only need 5% FE to find an EV+(shove) here.

Hi all,

Yes I would also call preflop and I would also ship this flop with our bdfd, 2 possible live cards + gutshot.

Hi,

Unless chipleader is very passive postflop then you can also r/f pre-flop.
Very often you have to play for stacks with tp hand and he is usually going to 3b all the better hands and J9s should be bottom of your preflop raising range.

Postflop: I guess shove is fine, since pot is too big compared to your stack. If you had 100k then I prefer calling to then shove likely most turn cards

best regards,
