blinds winnings

Hi,

I am analysing my blinds defending performance. I have -0.29 bb/hand winrate from BB and -0.2 from SB. It is obviously better than folding each blind, but how good it is? what is usually value of good reg? I mean should i expect to win money from blinds, or just try to minimize the losses?

also from BU have 0.51, but from MP and EP only 0.21 and 0.13. CO 0.17. so I am not sure if I am playing bad from EP, MP, and CO when BU is so much higher winrate?
Sample is 120k hands in NL100 fast forward. can it be variance for such sample?

Hi, GingerKid,
I'm not sure that you can just take these numbers out of context.

What is your overall playing style?
Are you winning with or without showdown?

What is your overall win rate?

I'm a *bit* surprised your BTN rate is that low, but your BB and SB number make me a bit jealous.

Cheers,
VS

In general a 30bb/100 hands from the BB and 15bb/100 hands from the SB is a good winrate.

hi,

my winrate is 7.6bb/100 hands.

I win with both red and blue line, but more with red line (around double more). I dont see why are red and blue line relevant though.

What is your overall winrate, and winrates per positions?

I'm sorry, I meant,
-30bb/100 hands in BB
-15bb/100 hands in SB

Blinds included!

So your winrate from the blinds is good!

Isn't 51bb/100 OTB enough for you

If you have 7.6bb/100 at NL100 fast forward, I would say you crush the stake!

I am thinking to move to NL200, I guess I should be playing +EV there, but I am not sure if I would earn more money with it than with NL100. E.g. I had a year ago 12bb/100 hands at NL50 at zoom, and then moved to NL100, had downswing for a long time and had played only 2bb/100 hands. Now I improved my game a lot, but still I am afraid to move up and again play nearly breakeven for a while because it happend each time I was moving up.

I don't think you have to worry, just set a fixed amount of buy ins you are willing to take shots with.

You don't know if this is going to happen before you try it, I think you will crush Nl200!

think about it, what if you move up and crush NL200!

Don't be one of those who get too comfortable at one stake and never move up!!!

I say move up and come back to this thread and tell me about how you crushed NL200 easy and thinking about taking shots at NL400.

good luck

 doh!
I looked at 0.51 and missed the "per hand" part.

<sigh>

I think that SD/NSD is important because it seems that way to me.
My NSD +ve, my SD is -ve and I'm losing overwhelmingly at showdown

Much smaller sample size, much lower stakes.

Now that I know to what the scale is, you are still winning much more than I in all positions.

thanks for advice, I will try it on zoom NL200 soon. Do you think that zoom is much harder than normal tables, or other casinos? I heard best players are playing there. And how much fish is playing there in comparison to NL100?

it's variance
even thinking about these positional winrates with a couple of million hands is vague, 120k hands will be completely random

120k hands = 15-20k hands per position

This is very true

Facepalm doh!

Combined NL 2 to NL 10 my WTSD is 32%, and my W$SD is 48.2 %
My overall winrate is -5 bb/100

That is going back to day 1, all rooms
This year, though I'm break even, but with just about the same WTSD & W$SD numbers.

If I remove showdown from the picture, I'm a slightly winning player.

If I exclude my shots at NL 25 and NL 50, it gets better again, but still not what I would like.

Peace,
VS

You go to showdown too often!

I would try to find more folds with marginal hands.

I assume you play pretty laggy for those stake _biggrin:

You said that your redline is going up and your blue is falling, this is because people at the micros don't like to fold. If you would have played NL50 or something a bit higher, your WTSD would probably be something around 24-27 and your W$SD at 44-47.
This is becouse you fold out anything that you beat and get called be all the better hands, your redline will go up and your blue down.

You could have a WTSD at 24-27 and a W$SD over 50% just by player tighter, yes your redline will go down, but you will win more from SD at the micros than NSD, just because people don't like to fold a hand like TP agains a triple barrel.

Hope this is helpful! _grin:

I think you could improve your sb win rate... Can you post your sb win rate in unopened pot?
Nice wr from btn... Can you tell me your btn wr against 1 raiser and in unopened pot?
