I was quite weary of trying to bluff this fishy looking guy so definitely not looking to barrel multiple streets w/o at least a pair. Saw no harm in betting one street to get him off his random fit/fold hands. We still might have some SD value as well w/ our Ax.

Hi legand73

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: What better hands does he fold on the flop? Or are you looking to get his random overpairs and worse Ax to fold?

Also, how often do fishy guys fold to ONE half pot cbet?

Its true that not many better hands fold. I don't see a hand like 22 even folding here if he's fishy. Given that we think it would take more than one bet to get him off his better hands and that I don't want to barrel multiple streets vs this fish who I assume calls wide then I want to be giving up flop.

Exactly, so check back, let your hand improve and continue there.

Otherwise you will build up this pot and will have a hard time winning it.
