Villain seems to be a reg. No reads. After he checks turn, he is either giving up or pot controlling, giving that due to the very draw heavy flop he should be barreling of his 2pair+ hands. For that reason I thought it was a good time to bluff him off his top pairs. This is a move that I make so rarely that probably most regulars don't think I am ever bluffing here. What do you think of my line and what if you were in villains shoes, which hands would you call after my river raise?

I don´t like your shove, since you don´t really represent anything.
Most players would not expect you to check back turn sets/straights and since 2 is complete blank I think they would b/c their Ax hands (some might even take this line with TT-KK
best regards

Hi all,

So even though you have ranged him correctly (though he can easily c/rai his strong hands on the turn with this potsize), you are really struggling to represent a hand here. If villain is a reg, you need to consider what he thinks you do with your strong hands on this drawheavy board. Likely you are going to bet turn. So what about the hands that improve to a strong enough hand to raise the river? Well he may think you check back A2s on the turn and sometimes shove river for value. What would I call in villain's shoes is not a great indication of what most regs call, but I am personally calling 86s+ against you.

I'm not agree completely. Hero got some showdown value because he checked the turn. Yea, he got some weak made hand which he turn in to a bluff on the river but how week ? Definitely villain should bet/call every time river because he is going to have at least kings, queens and something like this. And btw in villains shoes what are the weakest hands you are going to bet on the river for value ?

Hi all,

No, what I mean is I will not necessarily valuebet worse than TT on the river (TT+ is definitely a valuebet I think). I may check/call instead with some 98, T9 type hands myself. However if I bet the river with 86 (as a bluff), I would then likely call this raise.

Regardless, I would not fold any better hands than T9 to a raise here because my opponent does not represent enough hands.
