Hmmm, villain is a tight reg with fold to 3bet of 87%. I give him a range of AK,AQs and 1010+. Flop and turn I barrel and I think I made a mistake by not barreling river here to extract value of QQ+. As played I wanted to check call against his missed draws but I dont think, given his range, this was the greatest idea here :f_eek: His shove at the river made me cry. He won't play QQ en KK like that I guess, so I give him AQs,AKs and 1010 or JJ. I decided to fold.... WHat do you guys think of the hand??

I would make it 11-12bb preflop because we're 200bb deep.

Given deepness, we can surely add 77 into his river range.

River, so he effectively shove 133 to 111 (1.2), so we need to call 45% of the time to make his bluffs 0ev.
So, if range we give him have 5 value combos (77,TT,JJ) and 2 bluff combos (AcKc, AcQc) best play is to XC 45% of the time with AA.

But, as it's 200bb, I could see villain with some ATs,T9s, JTs, 87s,76s and KcQc so folding more often seems better.

I would pay attention to river timing, snap shove would make me more inclined to call coz bad regs usually take some time with nut hands and snap bet bluffs (at least from my exp).

Hey guys,

Flop and turn for value is fine.

On a blank river we can possible x/c. This river is pretty brutal though. I generally just assume guys are not bluffing as frequently as they should be when deep. Having said that it's hard for him to have TT/77 (1 combo of each) and JJ which probably raise flop along with any combos of 89s. That leaves TJs (2 combos which may also raise flop). On the other hand he can have busted FD's + straight draws. So we only lose here if he slowplayed the flop, and imo guys usually raise nutted hands when deep.

So, pretty horrible spot but I'm x/c river here, his line doesn't make enough sense for a legitimate value combo.
