I never saw him open raising that much, so it made me wonder what to do and the honest answer is that none of the 3 options that I had suited me. I have QQ, a beautiful hand, but from BB, which means I will play postflop OOP. I don't know what his 8x open-raise means. He could have KK+ and/or AK and I will be in bad shape. Or, he could bluff and only put money in pot postflop only if he hit something.
I don't like reraising, because I will surely isolate myself against the range that beats me. Let's say he will call. Does he call because he's slowplaying or because he has position and he uses this advantage? If I have an overcard on the flop, it's kinda c/f for me because either the A or K fits his range and I will not be sure if I made a good laydown or not. If I don't have any overcards, how can I be sure that I am not facing a slowplaying AA or KK, supposed we see a turn? Given the low SPR, the all-in is inevitable, so he can call me down safely.
My only hope is to hit a set of queens, but I am sure that this is a -EV decision, given his 8x raise.
I don't like calling, because I don't know where I stand and I will play OOP and without initiative. Again, my only hope is to setmine, thing that I don't like in this spot.
I don't like folding either, because... erm... I have QQ. However, it was the safest thing to do.
