I prefer raising to 3bb's SB vs BB. The hand is played fine. We should almost always stack off with AK SB vs BB, especially with the info you have. Nice hand!

Well played.

The problem is the 4-bet. It puts you in awkward spot if he calls. You'd be OOP with 25% of your (actually of his, same problem) stack in the middle. Try to design a sizing so that it doesn't happen. That can start with the opening raise already.

Do you understand what I mean? You are close to being all in. If you check after he calls the 4-bet, he is all but certain to push regardless of flop.

I steal almost 50% from the SB, but still open 3x. I've tried various sizings from 2,2X to 3X, but found that 3X is the best. The fold equity is alot higher than with smaller sizes and overall I believe it's more profitable. But it's totally up to you, of course.

Make it higher and do not bother. The higher your bet the lower the defence would be. You make it a bit more expensive for 3 bet.
