I'm a cash game player, and I'd squeeze in this spot all day, but here I'm covered by both, and if I raise at all, it's a shove.

I'm 8th of 17 with about 3/4 avg stack
Neither player is known.
So what is best?

Poker Stars, $0.23 Buy-in (100/200 blinds, 25 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players

Hero (SB): 3,862 (19.3 bb)
BB: 3,116 (15.6 bb)
UTG+2: 3,693 (18.5 bb)
MP1: 2,998 (15 bb)
MP2: 11,392 (57 bb)
MP3: 4,929 (24.6 bb)
CO: 1,577 (7.9 bb)
BTN: 587 (2.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q♥: A♦:
UTG+2 raises to 600, MP1 calls 600, 4 folds, Hero ???

Cheers,
VS

I wonder is that an exceptable shoving range?? wat do u think yourself.. in a cash game are u ever shoving this spot or wat wud a standard raise be?

Hi Vorpal
:-)
My sng results have flagged a little lately.
Is it 5 paid?, button is gone, Co is weak, it is possible UTG2 and MP1 get it on this hand, leaving the door wide open for a min cash in the next circuit or so. Your next played hand is critical.
You certainly are getting good odds to squeeze, and I think you have to squeeze at least once to win any T.
If you shove, most likely UTG2 did not raise to fold so you introduce a big ~50%busto?~ into the game scenario.
With the antes now in, any pot won puts you in a good positron, so I am playing conservatively and play mistake free poker.
:-)

Later adds..(oh I read as 8 players final table)

45 mans get 7 players paid based on a flat paid out structure on PokerStars.
I think your still to far away of the money to take a conservative approach at the last 2 tables.
I would shove here for sure with a lot of dead money of the caller in this spot.
The only reason to fold here if the UTG player is super tight.

Cheers,
