This is such a preflop fold! A9o is a hand that can be dominated by better aces very easily.

As played you should be raising as much as possible on the flop (read the silver article "Raising draws on the flop for value") because you have about 36% equity and it's 4 handed so you will win the most showdowns out of everyone, also you have top pair top kicker so you could be ahead ALREADY!! In total you have about a million outs! Ship the monies on the flop.

I like a donkbet on the turn better than a check/raise as MP1 will often just check it behind because he's afraid of a club (if he didn't raise a club on the flop).

I don't see myself playing this any other way, just calling MP1's river raise is too weak imo, well played on the river.
