meh i'd probably shove turn, it looks a lot like a naked 7 to me, since a set would probably 3bet the flop

on the river he is repping quads or blockbetting 77788, and since quads are hard to make I would shove (as a bluff), I think you're deep enough.

That's quite spewy. No, I actually play it the very same way chenny did. You could make an argument for reraising flop, but since we are Ip I like the call. Same counts for turn - boat is possible, we only have second nut straight. River is horrible, therfore we have to fold.

Best regards,

how many 8 do you think he has in his range ? where as we can rep an 8 pretty well imo

no we can't. if he's a thinking player at all he will realise that we would never:

raise flop 3way, then bet/call turn with an 8, even a8. our range on the turn is some weirdly played overpairs, 7x, straight. so when we shove the river our range becomes polarised between nuts and air. while it is true that this partially merges our range, i really doubt he's folding better on the river.. (you're right about him though, he should never have an 8 here either).

and on the other side of the spectrum if he's bad he won't fold a 7 anyway.
