is this too loose of a steal from the cutoff given the short stack in the blinds?

No I don't think it is too loose. It's obvious that SB either folds or shoves. With just 8bb behind we can't give much respect to his 3bet and I think our hand has enough equity to call vs his shoving range in this case.

If you open here you should be ready to play for all his 8BBs.

Actually, there is no hand that you can fold to the raise, well maybe 52o, but you wouldn't raise that in the first place.

Am I understand it correct that it´s a tournament and not NL2 cash? If so you probably get better advice in tournament section.

I think openshove here in an option. As played I believe smaller preflop sizing is a standard. Anyway you cannot fold here.

Tourney?

Right, should have noticed everybody is short. So it's shove or fold. Nash gurus will know. My guess is shove.

open shove 40% of hands. Nobody can call you. Having a king AND a jack as a bonus? turbo ship.
