i got an email saying im silver status now but it still hasnt changed?

The thing is that Pokerstrategy statuses change strictly at the UTC midnight (which was just 2 minutes after your post ), whereas the time when poker sites send players' rake data vary, e.g. Pokerstars and Full Tilt do it shortly after the ET midnight (4 AM UTC in summer, 5 AM UTC in winter) because that's when the day formally ends on their server. Thus there's a 19-20-hour delay between StrategyPoints being reported by the room (that's when the congratulatory email is sent) and the corresponding Pokerstrategy status upgrade (if applicable) happening on our server and giving you access to extra training material etc.

The points have no value apart from determining your status.

thanks i was being optimistic thinking when you earnt so much points you could convert it into more dollars lol

If you refer friends to us through our Tell-a-Friend program, their SPs can have real cash value for you as we will reward you with cold hard cash when your friend/s hit SP targets.
