Villain is unknown.

Any valid reason for betting the turn?
Am I not missing value if I check, since he did not raise me?

$0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

BTN: $9.62 (96.2 bb)
SB: $13.76 (137.6 bb)
Hero (BB): $13.60 (136 bb)
MP: $7.83 (78.3 bb)
CO: $11.05 (110.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K♦ K♣
2 folds, BTN raises to $0.30, SB folds, Hero raises to $1, BTN calls $0.70

Flop: ($2.05) Q♦ 3♦ 4♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $1.10, BTN calls $1.10

Turn: ($4.25) 4♠ (2 players)
Hero bets $2.20, BTN calls $2.20

River: ($8.65) T♥ (2 players)
Hero ???

Well, both options seems reasonable, he might have bet on the turn since board is missing only one diamond to destroy the action, although you've got plenty room to bet, he'll flat call with lot of worse.

You're playing against a weak player (stack size), so just bet/bet/shove for value.

I like the idea of betting again on the river vs this opponent.

For sure betting. Even though we do not know Villain, we still can make a good perceived range of value hands. By having a 4 of spades on the turn, it discounts a lot of set probabilities and that he calls only the turn doesn't indicate a flush and high pocket pair (except AA for value).

I agree with Kriko92, bet/bet and shove any blank river card.
