Who am I?
I'm a 22 year old student studying Law from Scotland. I've been playing poker on and off for almost 5 years now albeit never a winning player. I have had some success but never stuck at it consistently to continue and be winning consistently. I can only say that I've not lost more than I've won is because on one occasion I walked into a casino and sat down at a £1/2 cash game and walked out 12 hours later with £2000, wiping out every player at the table. That was my biggest success in the game although I've never replicated that result again either online or live.
I play live MTTs occasionally at one of the casino's in Glasgow, Scotland. I generally aim to play a live game at least once or twice a month as I love playing live. At the moment I have no job as I'm studying to become a Lawyer, while doing this I want to become a better Poker player. As I study from home (distance learning). It will give me plenty of time to dedicate to Poker, more so than the average student.
Why?
I've always loved the game of poker but never took it serious enough or put the effort in to become a good and consistent winner. I've recently started playing poker again in the last two months after a very long break and over the last month I've been busting my bankroll on many occasions playing MTT (Buy-ins of around $1000 - Winnings of around $800). I believe it's time to stop throwing away money and start making it. I will be dedicating a lot of time into improving my Poker and I will be re-learning everything from scratch. I am going to crush the micro limits and move up to higher stakes, I'm not just going to try and do it. I will not stop until I succeed, I will not let myself go bust.
What?
I will be playing 6max Zoom games. I have never played 6max before and this is something that is completely new to me and felt it would be a great place to re-learn the game. I have not developed bad habits from playing 6max from playing in the past as it's totally new to me which I feel makes it the perfect place for me to develop my ability and focus on.
How?
I am currently following the "No Limit Beginners course with confidant91" to get me started. At present time I've watched the first four lessons and implementing the strategy exactly as taught without any deviations to get a good basis to build upon. As I work through this course I will implement what I learn at the tables, mostly in the process of watching a video, playing tables to drill in the concepts learned by playing at least 1,000 hands or more until I am comfortable with the concepts. Once I complete the course I will look for more material to build on what I've learned and continue building on my skill set and mindset which is just as important to keep moving up and crushing the micro limits to get me started.
