Is this a standard 2-barrel. Can I hope to fold any mid PP?
Shall 3-barrel if I miss river?

Preflop range of villain: TT-22,KTs+,QTs+,J9s+,T8s+,98s,87s,KJo+,QTo+,JTo,T9o,98o

IP, on K high dry board I will cbet almost always expecting to get enough folds.

Since he calls I expecting him to continue with something like this: TT-77,55-33,KTs+,KJo+ plus some backdoor SD+FD.
Basically on the turn our target are 24 combos of mid pairs plus some hand like KTs. So one option is to bet the turn and to try to fold those or to x back since we have a lot of outs against those hands. I'm more inclined to cbet the turn.

On the river he should be left with sets plus TPGK hands, so not sure if we tripple barrel or give up if miss.

We do not have enough equity to bet and we will get not much of folds...

What range do you put him on turn?

Now, I do not like your preflop range. SB is not calling that wide, as there is still a player to act behind.

Standard calling range from SB vs MP will be: QQ-22,AQs+,KQs,AQo+

Even on flop we are behind this range, but still I believe we should attack Kxx boards.

On turn you are folding AQ - 12 combos. All midpairs are questionable. As turn card changes nothing, many of them may call. The question is what will you do on the river if you do not hit?

I think there should be some more suited As and connectors, and suited broadways. I mean, at NL25 the guys don't call so tight. Actually vs. that range we are 50/50 even preflop:D
Of course it depends on the range that you assign to decide if to cbet or not. IMy opinion is just that in the majority of the cases mid pairs are folding after 2 barrels on K high board.

You may be right. I still see people calling there a lot.

I think we have quite a lot of equity on the turn. And I don't think you need that much pure equity on the turn since we have some fold equity and we have lots of outs to improve to the best hand.

Any :club: gives us the nuts (9 outs), any deuce is good unless he has pocket 6s (and one of his outs for the straight gives us a flush) and chances are that he calls one bet on the flop with like 77-TT so any A or J might be good as well. Probably A♥2♥ or A♠2♠ doesn't fold to a single bet either on the flop but that's a rather small part of his range tbh. Though I think if he's a reg he'd probably 3bet those types of hands most of the time preflop.

The flop is very dry and ppl expect you to cbet that kind of board with pretty much your entire range so if he doesn't fold on the flop it doesn't mean he always has the K but will fold most of his hands on the turn.

In fact this is the most standard 2nd barrel situation imo. Looking at villains WTSD (or fold vs turn cb if you have a big sample) stat helps a lot in these situations when estimating how often he will fold on the turn. Even if he calls it's not a terrible situation for us though because if he has like KQ we have even more outs since any A is good as well. Just my thoughts :)

You have 30% equity, which is not enough to bet.

You can't know your exact equity, maybe he has Axs and doesn't want to fold to a single bet on such a dry board and tries to get to a showdown if you give up on the turn.

It's not about only pure equity that we have IMO. On the flop he probably won't fold much but on the turn he folds a lot if he doesn't have a K in his hand. Even if he calls we still do have outs and there's still river to play. Though all this of course depends on the opponent.

But if we're cbetting the flop and giving up on the turn on that exact card I'm not sure if we should even bet the flop then. Think about if you were the SB in this spot and you had a middle pocket pair, like 66-TT - would you instafold the flop to one cbet? Probably sometimes, but sometimes not - but you would for sure fold those hands on the turn. 66-TT are in total 30 hand combinations in total that most likely will fold the turn. Sure, if he has KQ, KJ he probably won't fold on the turn. Those are 24 hand combinations in total. KT might or might not fold to a reasonable sized cbet on the turn depending on the villain.

If you bet the flop and check back turn, you have no idea what to do on the river - he might rep the king and bluff us off the hand on the river.

Maybe it's not necessary at the micros to do this, but if you bet AK/KQ etc twice here it's probably good to bet this hand too vs the regulars. Vs fish I could just check back for a free card and stack off their top pair or lower flush if we hit.

When we cbet the flop with backdors, generally we should cbet the turn when we hit our draw. Along with the fold equity we should be fine with cbetting, imo. Also, if we don't hit on the river, I wouldn't expect an unknown to stand 3barrels with a middle pair.
