Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♠ A♣
fold, MP raises to 3 BB, fold, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 15 BB, MP calls 12 BB, BTN calls 12 BB
Decided to raise to 15 bb instead of 12 because we're pretty deep with MP
Flop: (45.5 BB, 3 players) K♦ 7♥ Q♠
Hero checks, MP checks, BTN checks
Turn: (45.5 BB, 3 players) Q♦
Hero checks, MP checks, BTN checks
River: (45.5 BB, 3 players) Q♣
Hero bets 20 BB, fold, BTN calls 20 BB
Was trying to get it all in preflop vs tight-ish preflop raiser MP, but ended in a 3-way pot on the flop and didn't really expect that. Not the best possible flop to face in a multi-way 3bet pot so this time I decided not to spazz away OOP and checked, was afraid of KK/QQ (yes, really).
On the turn I was thinking that if I bet I wouldn't get much action from worse (still 3way) so I checked again. Also didn't want to build a huge pot on this board multiway, the pot was already pretty big.
River: since everyone checked the turn through and now QQ is impossible and any Q is very unlikely, I mostly lose to KK at this point and decided to value bet against a random K. Would have been seriously thinking about folding vs a raise or shove on the river.
Thoughts?
