UTG: $11.43 (114.3 bb)
MP: $15.91 (159.1 bb)
CO: $10.66 (106.6 bb)
Hero (BTN): $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with A T
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.25, SB raises to $0.40, BB folds, Hero calls $0.15

Flop: ($0.90) 9 T 5 (2 players)
SB bets $0.90, Hero calls $0.90

Turn: ($2.70) 9 (2 players)
SB bets $2.70, Hero folds

villian fish 39/33 agg 38, 3bet: 15, hands: 178

Preflop: Stupid 3bet, good odds to call

Flop: I hit top pair, his bet is strong

Turn: not sure if i have to shove or just call ( and then fold the river if he bet big again?). I think his line is very strong, and the problem with my fold is if i'm gonna fold this hand again this opponent, i ask myself, why did i call preflop? :f_ugly:

Would probably have done the same. I am never sure how to exploit those people when having TPTK. It could easily be that he has AJ+ and that you have him beat. However, it could also be that he has strong pair (JJ+) by looking to his agg, which is quite good. Also look forward to some interesting views from other people on this hand.

I would have played it the same way.

WP IMO, I would have played the same way. If you're planing to fold to a bet on the river against an agro fish, I think folding the turn is the way forwards. I'd be interested to hear how to play against small 3bets and what our plan should be post flop from a coach/ experienced play.

Why did you call the flop and folded the turn when the friendly card had come in.

I don't consider turn card as friendyl.. It is more neutral imo, doesn't help us at all. Villain 3bet pre, bets pot OTF and OTT. Can we beat him with TPTK? In my opinion not.. Preflop call is ok and we can call OTF with TPTK but we can't call pot size bet OTT.

It's well played. We have to call his 3bet giving the price and we have to call the flop with TPTK, even though he is betting quite big, but when he bets big on the turn again, I think it's the safest to fold.

Calling pre is not what we want but the price is ok.
I am not sure we can call a pot bet on flop, but maybe it is ok.
After the big bet on turn - folding is the right play.

Would it have been better to raise the flop bet? You have position on him and TPTK, plus he looks loose and very aggressive which means he could be doing this with a wide range of hands. You could probably find out where you are in this hand with a raise, and then have the possibility of getting to the River cheaply (assuming he calls your raise and checks to you on Turn) where you can re-evaluate if he pots the River. There's also the possibility he folds to your raise.

I don't like calling 3bets with ATo, but he made such a small 3bet, you have the odds to call. It is a tough spot, and I don't think calling on the flop is bad. I'm just wondering if raising his bet would be slightly better.

Raising after his pot bet is not ok, imo.
