Hello guys,

My plan is moove to the UK to play online poker legally, like an entrepreneur. I interested in every steps what I need to do for it. Do I need to make yearly tax return about my poker games, or not because of the 0% tax? I have still NI number, because of worked before in UK. Is that enough, or do I need to make some healt insurramce or something?

Cheers

Hey hajranyek,

To the best of my knowledge, only the poker rooms pay tax, not the players. Can't really help you with the other questions so maybe a helpful UK based member can enlighten us.

Regards

Laz

Unlike some ridiculous countries, the UK doesn't tax gambling winnings.

Also, unlike some ridiculous countries, the UK has free healthcare for everyone who lives there.

Thank's. Well, in that case, Hungary is a ridiculous country. :truestory:

I was thinking of fatter ones with worse beer and less attractive women, personally.

Anyway if you're Hungarian, you can just move to the UK with basically zero hassle (thanks, EU!) and start grinding. There are probably some hoops you have to jump through, but as immigration goes I think it's one of the easier jumps you can make.
