NL16 KK in 3bet pot OOP

Well this is not a 3b pot but squeeze. This changed things. I think you should defend your open and 4 b. Look from villain's point - utg opens, fish in the mp calls...nice spot to squeeze and isolate the fish.

Villain can and will squeeze wider than he would normally 3bet. I think we have to 4bet here. As you can see from those stats, villains 3bet vs EP is 4.2% but total squeeze is 11.1%, why not defend? We don't want to end up playing multiway and our hand is strong enough to go all in pre. Postflop is fine as played. Take a note of villains passive line.

I like calling preflop. We're slightly deep, 4bet UTG v CO looks very strong and he doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to call 4bets => KK doesn't accomplish much with the 4bet. Also we don't really mind the fish coming along. Postflop I'm quite confident that KK is the best hand after his check behind so I bet twice for value, sizings seem fine.

We might get heads-up with dead money and A+rag type of hands have to pay for the pleasure to draw at a 3-outer. It is the totally wrong idea to slowplay KK here. It will not win a big pot post-flop unimproved if we call. Yes, an UTG 4-bet looks strong, and guess what? We are strong. There is nothing to gain from hiding this fact. Heads up in position may be different. Again, slowplaying KK MW OOP deep is a bad bad idea.

Our KK does not play well mw. What will you defend here anyway if you are calling with the second best hand preflop?

I agree that we don't want to be playing multiway and if we are going to have a 4bet range, KK is definitely a part of it.

I think hero's mind is frustrated at the actual holding of villain. But we are up vs a range and yeah, sometimes we will face his top.
Here we should defend properly and re-raise.
