Okay, I'm only an amateur player but after finishing a live tournament recently, I wanted the opinions of more experienced players, and see if there was a different/better way to play this specific hand. I'm mid-way through a live tournament.
Blinds are 1000/2000 with a 200 ante
Average chips is around 70000. My stack size is 90000
Action is folded around to the button who raises to 6400, playing with about 120000 at the start of the hand
SB folds
I have A♦: T♦: on the BB, so I defend
Heads-up to the flop- 6♦: 8♦: T♣:
Action is on me, I bet 5000 into about 11000. He calls
Turn- 6♦: 8♦: T♣: 5♦:
I bet 14000 into 21000. He raises to 32000. I call
River- 6♦: 8♦: T♣: 5♦: 7♦:
I check, he shoves all in for my effective stack of about 45000
Would you have played this hand differently? I could only put him on: 9♦:
/ K♦: 9♦: / 9♦:
/ K♦:
, or a complete bluff.
Spoiler
I called, He shows K♦: 9♦: and I am eliminated from the tournament
