Hi,

V is 40/21 @ 36 hands

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 1 Tournament, 150/300 Blinds 25 Ante (7 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from http://www.flopturnriver.com/

MP2 (t9,989)
CO (t5,530)
Hero (Button) (t5,376)
SB (t2,266)
BB (t5,792)
UTG (t1,977)
MP1 (t6,827)

Hero's M: 8.60

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8♥, 8♦
4 folds, Hero raises to t600, 1 fold, BB calls t300

Flop: (t1,525) 7♦, 3♥, 3♣ (2 players)
BB bets t900, Hero calls t900

Turn: (t3,325) 7♠ (2 players)
BB bets t1,800, Hero folds

Total pot: t3,325

I guess it's a trivial spot, however it always puzzles me when I have an overpair below let's say QQ on a low board. Some time before this one happend another guy cold called with QQ and took the pot (different table). Mindset is alos something I am tryng to work on. Anyway....

Except of 3x there's only 99 and TT that have me beaten since I assume he will 3bet pre with JJ+ AQs+ AKo, so I decide to call. He looks fishy but his bet of 50% pot OTT doesn't look to me as a bluff, however if we assume he will defend BB with 36% he has only K7s, A7s, A3s, 77, 33 and some connectors with 7x that made actually a strong hand. However he still has no made hand about 60% of the time, and A high 23% of the time.

Do you call here till the end and just make a note if he calls on BB with his usual 3betting range as well?

The best man looks pretty passive and I’m not sure he would ever 2nd barrel with less than a full house for more than half his stack. He has invested 3.325 (25+600+900+1800) now. So the turn you need to decide if you stack off or fold here and I would go for a fold.

Cheers,

With 18BB, a loose BB and a mid PP that generally doesnt flop well I would just shove pre and go for max FE, the blinds and antes are already over 10% of your stack

Im just shipping flop. I dont see 99 and TT not shoving preflop on us. If he donks trips so be it. You stack his 7x and 22-66 and protect vs 4-6 outs.

As played the turn improves him alot more than you say imo. Like, is he really gonna barrel his gutshots and his overcards and what not? I agree with your fold OTT. I can agree with a call OTT and fold OTR too. Sure we invested 50% of our stack by the river but we can be sure we are never good when he shoves on us. I expect him to be giving up on his bluffs and "value-merges" like 44 (fishes tend to play them like that) :f_thumbsup:
